Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Updated October 23, 2026

Draft for test-cohort review. Not approved for public launch while [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] remains unresolved.

1Who we are and what you are agreeing to

Solia (the "App" or "Service") is a personal life-planning application. You plan your days and weeks, track workouts, meals and sleep, talk to Solia's assistant Pluto, receive AI-generated coaching reports, workouts, food plans, scores and rankings, and connect with other people.

The Service is operated by Solia ("we", "us"), currently an unincorporated business operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME], based in Ontario, Canada. We plan to incorporate; when that happens, these Terms (and your data) will be assigned to the incorporated entity, and we will notify you and update these Terms. Contact: legal@getsolia.com.

Your agreement with us is made up of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Health & Fitness Disclaimer, and the data-source and licence notices shown in the app under Data Sources & Licenses (together, the "Terms & Agreements"). You accept them by agreeing in the app. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Solia. By creating an account you represent that you are 16 or older and that the birthdate you provide is accurate. We may suspend or delete accounts we reasonably believe belong to users under 16.

If you are under the age of majority where you live (for example, 18 in Ontario), you may buy a membership or usage credits only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who is then responsible for the purchase.

3Your account

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity that occurs under your account.
  • Sign-in is provided through Apple, Google, or an email and password. When you sign in on a new device we may email you a verification code. Keep your sign-in method secure; we are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your credentials.
  • One account per person. Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity in your username or profile. We limit how many accounts can be set up from one device and from one sign-in identity, and how often onboarding can be retried, as described in the Privacy Policy; we may refuse setup when a limit is reached.
  • You can begin onboarding before you create an account. Your answers are kept on your device and move into your account when you sign up.
  • Usernames are subject to availability and our naming rules; we may reclaim usernames that violate these Terms.

4License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and (for iOS) the Apple App Store Usage Rules. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. The App, including its design, code, branding, and content we create, belongs to Solia or its licensors.

Third-party materials and open-data downloads are governed by their identified licences. Restrictions in these Terms, including personal-use, non-commercial-use, copying, redistribution and competing-product restrictions, do not limit rights granted under those licences. The Open Food Facts-derived catalog download, including Solia's modifications, is offered under ODbL 1.0; its contents are subject to the licences identified with the download.

5AI features — important disclosure

Much of Solia is generated by artificial intelligence ("AI"), including:

  • Pluto, the assistant you speak or type to, which can read and change your schedule, Weekly Structure, to-dos and tasks;
  • your onboarding report and first weekly plan;
  • coaching reports, scores, grades, trends, current-status summaries and targets;
  • generated workouts and routines, exercise targets and load suggestions;
  • weekly food plans, recipes, grocery lists and estimated grocery prices;
  • meal-photo recognition and nutrition estimates for barcodes and custom foods.

The AI providers we use, and what they receive, are listed in the Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that:

  • AI outputs are automated predictions. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or unsuitable for you, and can change from day to day for similar inputs.
  • AI outputs are not professional advice of any kind — not medical, nutritional, dietetic, fitness-training, psychological, financial, or legal advice.
  • Some AI features search the web for you, for example for current grocery prices and for the quote in a coaching report. Those results come from third-party websites we do not control, and prices are estimates that may not match what a store charges.
  • Scores, grades, ranks and match results are for motivation and entertainment. They are not assessments of your worth, health or abilities.
  • You should review AI output before relying on it. You remain solely responsible for your decisions and for what you do in the real world.

6What Solia does automatically

Some features act on your account without a separate request each time:

  • Pluto carries out what you ask, such as adding, moving or deleting schedule blocks, editing your Weekly Structure, and creating or completing to-dos. Check that it understood you; you can edit or undo the result.
  • Coaching reports are generated on a schedule for members (daily, weekly and for longer periods). A report can adjust your upcoming plan, to-dos, exercise targets and nutrition targets. You can change anything it sets.
  • Generated workouts can set starting targets for the exercises they include.
  • Food plans save the recipes they create to your private recipe library, and allergies or dietary restrictions you mention while planning, including for people in your household, are added to your Nutrition settings, where you can edit them.
  • Ranked enters members into daily matches automatically (see section 11).
  • Usage credits are used automatically, without asking each time, once you reach a usage limit (see sections 15 and 16).
  • Your nights: if you are not a member, Solia still adds each night's sleep to your schedule from your Weekly Structure, without a coaching report.

7Health and fitness

The Service includes fitness, nutrition, food-plan, sleep, and body-weight features. Solia is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. The full Health & Fitness Disclaimer is part of these Terms. In short: consult a qualified professional before beginning or changing an exercise or nutrition program; stop any activity that causes pain or distress; check every recipe and ingredient label for allergens yourself; do not use the Service to manage a medical condition or an eating disorder; calorie, macro and price figures are estimates. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services — the Service is not monitored and cannot help you.

8Food plans, recipes and grocery lists

  • Food plans are generated from what you tell us when you set one up (household, budget, shopping area, stores, kitchen equipment, pantry, restrictions and preferences) and from your logged data. A member can generate one plan for each week and revise it, within the usage limits in section 15.
  • Allergies: AI can miss or misidentify allergens and can suggest a recipe that conflicts with a restriction you entered. Never rely on Solia to keep you, or anyone you cook for, away from a food they must not eat.
  • Other people in your plan: if you add household members (their calorie needs, and any allergies you mention for them), you confirm you are allowed to share that information with us for planning their meals.
  • Prices and stores: grocery prices are estimates gathered from third-party websites, and stores are found through Apple Maps. They may be wrong, unavailable or out of date. Solia is not affiliated with any store and does not sell groceries.
  • Recipes and images: the recipe library contains recipes written for Solia and, where credited, recipes adapted from openly licensed sources. Dish images are either AI-generated illustrations, which are labelled as such, or openly licensed photos credited on the item. Licensed material stays under its licence (section 4). Recipes created for your plans are saved privately to your account and are not shown to other users.

9Your content

  • What it is: content you create in the Service — schedule blocks, goals, notes, templates, to-dos and tasks, messages, stories, photos and videos, voice commands and your conversation with Pluto, food-plan preferences and private recipes, bug reports and suggestions, profile details, and shared group or business records.
  • You own it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, and transmit your content solely to operate and improve the Service, including processing through the providers described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to the Privacy Policy's limited retention of shared collaborative records, other users' records, moderation records, operational cleanup or revocation items, and backups. Deleting an account removes its content and identifiers from surviving shared groups and businesses and transfers ownership when other members remain; deleting either participant also removes the entire one-to-one message thread for both participants.
  • Information about other people: only add information about someone else (household members, children, family, coworkers, or people in your photos) if you have the right to share it, and add no more than the feature needs.
  • Feedback: if you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without restriction or payment to you.
  • You represent that your content does not violate law or third-party rights, and is not content you lack the right to share.

10Social features and community rules

  • Profiles are public unless you make them private in Settings → Privacy. Anyone on Solia can see a public profile and its posts, including in the shared feed, and can follow it without approval. A private account's posts and stories are shown only to the followers it approves. Other users can always see your profile header.
  • Current-status summary: an AI-written summary of your recent progress appears on your profile and your Ranked profile. It is on by default; you can turn it off in Settings → Privacy.
  • Posts and stories: stories leave the feed after 24 hours unless you add them to a highlight; posts and highlights stay until you delete them. People who can see a post or story can like it, comment on it, save it, download it to their device, and share it outside Solia; you can see who viewed your stories. Music you add is a short preview supplied through Apple's music catalogue and may be used only within Solia.
  • Messages: anyone you have not blocked can message you. One-to-one messages are visible to both participants; group and business messages are visible to their members, and members can add other people to a group. A disappearing message can still be saved by the person who receives it, and an unsent message leaves a note that a message was removed.
  • Groups and businesses: owners and admins manage membership. Shared records you add stay with the group or business when you leave, as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Reporting and blocking: you can report posts, stories, and comments, and block other users. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts. We do not monitor content in real time.
  • You are responsible for what you share. Do not share other people's private information, or anything that violates section 12.

11Ranked, leaderboards and scores

  • Viewing is open, playing is for members. Anyone signed in can view the Ranked ladder and players' Ranked profiles. Every member is entered into matches automatically. Daily matches compare scores calculated from your coaching data; some score inputs are graded by AI. If your membership ends you stop playing and are shown as Unranked, and your rating is kept if you return.
  • Anyone signed in can see your username, avatar, rank, tier, scores, match results and current-status summary on the ladder and your Ranked profile — not the underlying details of your day.
  • Division bots: each division includes a computer-controlled competitor whose name ends in "Bot". Bots are not real people: they have a fixed rating and synthetic scores, and Solia may post on their accounts. You can view and follow a bot but cannot message, block, or report it.
  • Benchmark matches: when no live opponent is available, you may be matched against another player's saved day or a Solia benchmark, and your saved days may be used the same way for others.
  • Scores and ranks are calculated automatically and may be recalculated, corrected, or reset. We may remove ranks gained by manipulation. Ranked has no prizes and no monetary value.

12Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • post or transmit content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or that endangers any person;
  • attempt to access other users' data, probe or circumvent security, usage limits or rate limits, or abuse API budgets;
  • attempt to manipulate AI outputs, scores, or leaderboards through deceptive inputs (e.g., prompt-injection text in block titles, notes, or food-plan preferences) or automated traffic;
  • create accounts to get around device, account, or usage limits, or to get the onboarding Pluto allowance again;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or copy the Service except where law permits despite this restriction;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties, or use it to build a competing product;
  • upload malicious code or interfere with the Service's operation.

We may remove content, throttle usage, and suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

13Membership

  • Free with every account: the Schedule and Weekly Structure, edited by tap; tasks and to-dos; social features and messages; viewing the Ranked ladder and players' Ranked profiles; the Schedule and Tasks sections of the Data page; Settings; Help; and onboarding, including your onboarding report and first plan (within the onboarding limits in section 15).
  • Pluto during onboarding: while you complete onboarding you can speak or type to Pluto without a membership, up to a one-time allowance of US$2 of AI processing (measured as in section 15). The allowance is once per person: deleting your account and creating a new one does not reset it. We apply it using the sign-in fingerprints described in the Privacy Policy. Past it, continuing with Pluto requires a membership.
  • Members also get: the Fitness and Nutrition toolkits (including generated workouts, food logging, meal photos, barcode scanning, and weekly food plans and shopping lists); Pluto by voice or text after onboarding, on the Schedule, Weekly Structure, Templates and Schedule Targets; coaching reports; Ranked matches; and the Nutrition, Fitness and Coaching sections of the Data page.
  • Plans: there are two plans, Standard and Pro, each billed monthly or annually. Both include every member feature. Pro has three times Standard's usage allowance (section 15).
  • Prices (US dollars, before tax): Standard US$39.99 a month or US$399.99 a year; Pro US$99.99 a month or US$999.99 a year. Checkout shows the plan, price and billing period again before you pay.
  • Introductory prices and price changes: current prices are a limited-time introductory offer and may end. We may change prices for new purchases at any time. For an existing membership, a new price applies only from a renewal after we have given you advance notice and, where the law requires it, your consent.
  • Taxes: prices do not include taxes. Where sales tax, GST/HST, VAT or a similar tax applies, it is added at checkout based on where you are. Your bank may charge its own currency conversion fees.
  • When a membership ends, member features lock; your data, history, Ranked rating and any unexpired usage credits are kept.
  • Testing period: while Solia is in testing, membership checkout and credit purchases are test transactions: no payment is taken and nothing is charged. The payment terms in sections 13 to 16 apply once paid checkout opens.

14Payments, renewal, plan changes and refunds

  • Where you buy: memberships and usage credits are sold on Solia's website, and payments are processed by Stripe. Where the app links you to that checkout (for example, on the US App Store), you are buying from Solia, not from Apple: Apple is not the seller, and Apple's purchase management and refund processes do not apply. We do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Auto-renewal: a membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period (every month or every year), at your plan's price at that time, using your payment method on file, until you cancel.
  • Cancelling: you can cancel at any time in Settings → Membership. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep member access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately: moving from Standard to Pro on the same billing period, from monthly to annual on the same plan, or from Standard monthly to Pro annual starts a new billing period on the new plan right away, and your usage limits start over from that moment. You pay the new plan's price minus what you paid for your current period.
  • Every other change takes effect when your paid period ends: for example, moving from Pro to Standard, from annual to monthly, or from Standard annual to Pro monthly is scheduled for the end of your current paid period. Nothing is charged until then, and you keep your current plan until then.
  • The Solia Promise (progress guarantee): if your first 30 days as a member show no real progress, we refund your first month. It applies to your first membership only, monthly or annual, once per person (we use the sign-in fingerprints described in the Privacy Policy to apply it once). Request it in the app or by contacting us (section 28) within 30 days after your first 30 days as a member end.
  • How the Solia Promise judges progress: when you ask, our automated system reviews the data in your Solia account from your first 30 days as a member: your schedule and what you recorded doing, your targets and goals, and your coaching reports. If that review shows you stuck to your plan and made no real progress, we refund you. If it shows progress, or shows you did not stick to your plan, there is no refund. The review's decision is final, except where the law gives you more.
  • What the Solia Promise refunds: the price of one month: for a monthly plan, your first monthly payment; for an annual plan, one twelfth of the annual price you paid. It goes back to your original payment method. Usage credits are not covered. A refund does not cancel your membership; cancel it separately if you want to stop paying (it then ends when your paid period ends).
  • No other refunds: apart from the Solia Promise, payments are non-refundable for any reason, including partly used billing periods, unused usage limits, unused usage credits, cancellation, account deletion or not using Solia, except where the law requires a refund.
  • Failed payments and chargebacks: if a renewal payment cannot be collected, your membership ends. If a payment is reversed or disputed with your bank or card issuer, we may pause your membership, or remove the credits bought with that payment, while the dispute is open.
  • Statutory rights: if you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory withdrawal or cooling-off rights for digital purchases (for example, the EU/UK 14-day right), those rights apply as presented at checkout, and nothing in these Terms limits them.

15Usage limits

  • Why there are limits: Pluto, the toolkits, food plans and coaching reports use paid AI processing. To keep them sustainable, each membership has one shared usage allowance across all of them, with a daily, weekly and monthly limit.
  • What is measured: each limit is measured in US dollars of Solia's own cost for the AI processing your requests use. A limit is a measure of usage, not a balance you own: unused allowance does not carry over, has no cash value and is not refunded.
  • Standard allowance: US$15 a month, of which at most US$2.25 in a day and US$6 in a week.
  • Pro allowance is three times Standard's: US$45 a month, of which at most US$6.75 in a day and US$18 in a week.
  • Per-section usage: the app shows how your usage splits between Pluto, the toolkits, food plans and coaching reports. That split is for your information; the limits apply to the total.
  • Coaching reports count toward your allowance but keep running after it is used up, so your reports are not interrupted. They have their own monthly safeguard against runaway processing; if it is ever reached, reports wait until it resets, and they are not lost.
  • When limits reset: limits are counted from the moment your membership starts, or from your last upgrade. A day is the 24 hours from that time of day, a week is seven of those days, and a month runs to the same date and time the next month (or the last day of a shorter month). Usage before that moment does not count, except that Pluto use during onboarding counts toward your first monthly limit if you join before finishing onboarding.
  • Reaching a limit: a request that starts while you are under every limit finishes in full, even if it takes you over. After that, new requests (other than coaching reports) are paused until the limit resets (the app shows when) or until you use usage credits (section 16).
  • Onboarding: your onboarding report and the final review of your first plan each include up to US$1 of AI processing without a membership, and that free part does not count toward these limits. Past it, a member's onboarding report or review counts toward their allowance like any other request; without a membership, continuing requires joining.
  • Other limits: some features also have their own limits, such as a daily number of generated workouts, target suggestions or custom-food estimates, and one food plan for each week.
  • Changes: we may change usage limits, with advance notice in the app.

16Usage credits

  • What they are: usage credits let you keep using Solia's AI features after you reach a usage limit. Credits come in packs of US$5, US$10, US$25, US$50 or US$100, and only members can buy them.
  • What they are not: credits are a usage balance with Solia only. They are not cash, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, cannot pay for a membership, and are not OpenAI, Anthropic or any other provider's credits.
  • When they are used: only for requests made after a usage limit has been reached, automatically and without asking each time. Coaching reports never use credits. A request that starts under a limit never uses credits, even if it goes over. Credits do not unlock member features and cannot be used without a membership, including during onboarding; credits you hold when a membership ends are kept until they expire and can be used again if you rejoin.
  • How much they cover: credits are charged at 1.5 times Solia's cost of the AI processing a request uses, so each US$1 of credits covers about US$0.67 of AI processing, measured the same way as the usage limits. The number of days a pack is estimated to last, shown before you buy, is an estimate based on your recent usage, not a promise.
  • Expiry: each purchase expires 12 months after you buy it. Credits that expire soonest are used first.
  • Going below zero: if a request costs more than your remaining credits, it still finishes and your balance goes below zero by the difference. Your next purchase pays that off first; we do not bill you for it separately.
  • No refunds: credits are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. Unused credits are lost when they expire or when you delete your account.

17Third-party services and content

The Service depends on third parties, including Supabase (hosting), OpenAI and Anthropic (AI processing and web search), Apple (sign-in, device checks, maps, music previews, notifications, app distribution), Google (sign-in and email delivery), Expo (notification routing), Stripe (payments), Open Food Facts, government and national food composition tables, published research and manufacturers' product labels (nutrition data, credited under Data Sources & Licenses), and Wikimedia (recipe images). Your use of features they power may also be subject to their terms. The Service also links to third-party websites, such as stores and the sources of grocery prices. We are not responsible for third-party services or websites we do not control, but we choose our processors as described in the Privacy Policy.

18Notifications and email

  • Push notifications are optional. They cover your schedule blocks and check-ins, messages and social activity, coaching reports, and match results. A notification can show a block title or another user's username on your lock screen. Manage them in Settings → Notifications and in your device settings. If you turn on Live Activities, your active workout also shows on your Lock Screen.
  • Email: we send sign-in and device verification codes and notices about your account and membership, such as linking a sign-in method, payment receipts and renewals, or deleting your account. Receipts may come from Stripe on our behalf. We do not send marketing email from the app.

19Termination

  • By you: delete your account at any time in-app (Settings → Account Management → Delete account). Deletion removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. It also ends any membership at once, with no refund for the rest of the paid period, and unused usage credits are lost, except where the law requires otherwise. If you only want to stop paying, cancel your membership instead (section 14).
  • By us: we may suspend or terminate your account for material or repeated violations of these Terms, for suspected abuse or fraud, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where practical we will give notice and a chance to review your data.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, disputes) survive.

20Service changes and availability

Solia is under active development, and during the testing period especially, features may change, break, or be removed, and data structures may be migrated. We may modify or discontinue any part of the Service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and scheduled reports, plans, notifications, and scores may occasionally fail or be delayed.

21Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service, or any AI output, will be accurate, reliable, or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, conditions, or guarantees that applicable consumer protection law (including Canadian provincial consumer protection legislation) does not allow to be excluded.

22Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or health outcomes, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including reliance on AI-generated content; and (b) our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of CAD $50 and the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including under applicable consumer protection legislation, or to damages caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

23Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights — except to the extent caused by our own breach or negligence.

24Apple App Store terms (iOS users)

If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store:

  • These Terms are between you and Solia only — not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
  • Memberships and usage credits are sold by Solia on its website, not by Apple (section 14).
  • Your license is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, per the App Store Usage Rules (except App content may be accessed by other accounts via Family Sharing or volume purchasing where offered).
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
  • If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other warranty claims are our responsibility.
  • Solia, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims of legal or regulatory non-compliance, and consumer protection claims.
  • In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights, Solia, not Apple, is responsible for its investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.
  • Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

25Changes to these Terms & Agreements

We may update these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or the Health & Fitness Disclaimer as the Service evolves. Each document shows its version and date at the top, and every version is published at getsolia.com/terms. When we change one, the app shows you the new text in full the next time you open it, and you must agree before you can keep using Solia. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.

26Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, and you and we each attorn to their jurisdiction — except that nothing prevents either party from seeking relief in small claims court, and if you are a consumer, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law or venue rules of the place where you live.

27General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. The Terms & Agreements described in section 1 are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with incorporation, merger, or sale, with notice to you.

Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Updated October 23, 2026

Draft for test-cohort use. Not approved for public launch while [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] remains unresolved.

Operator: Solia ([OPERATOR LEGAL NAME]), Ontario, Canada. Contact: privacy@getsolia.com. We plan to incorporate; if the operator changes, we will update this policy and notify users as required.

Scope

Solia is a personal planning app for users age 16 and older. It provides scheduling, to-dos, fitness and nutrition tracking, AI-generated workouts and food plans, social and messaging features, AI-generated coaching, scores, and rankings, and paid memberships and usage credits. This policy covers the Solia apps and the website getsolia.com. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Information you give us

  • Account — email when provided, Apple or Google account identifier, username, display name, and birthdate. Used for sign-in, account recovery, identity, and the age gate.
  • Profile and intake — your name, bio, goals and why they matter to you, constraints and injuries, lifestyle (work, studies, businesses, and family commitments, including your children's names, ages, sex, and notes if you enter them), sleep pattern, sex, height, body weight, fitness and nutrition preferences including fasting, and dietary restrictions and allergies, including those of people you shop for (with severity and cross-contact needs), and kitchen equipment. Used to personalize your plan and coaching.
  • Schedule — planned and actual blocks, your Weekly Structure, templates, recurring patterns, sleep and wake times, saved places attached to blocks, and check-ins, including how you felt (mood, energy, soreness, or pain). Core scheduling and coaching.
  • To-dos and tasks — your lists, what you marked done, partly done or skipped and your notes about it, and your tasks and their progress notes. Shown in your lists and used by Pluto and coaching to plan, carry over, and grade your to-dos.
  • Fitness — workouts, exercises, sets, loads, routines (including generated ones), exercise targets, and weigh-ins. Tracking, history, and estimates.
  • Nutrition — meals, food searches, scanned barcodes, custom foods, meal photos, saved meals, and nutrition targets. Tracking and estimates.
  • Food plans — what you enter when setting up a plan: the daily calorie needs of other people in your household (labelled Person 1, Person 2, and so on) and any allergies you mention for them, budget and currency, shopping area, chosen stores, pantry, equipment, restrictions, and preferences; plus the recipes created for your plans and your grocery checkmarks. Used to build your plan and shopping list.
  • Voice and Pluto — your voice commands, their transcription, and your conversation with Pluto. Used to understand and carry out your request. See "How AI features use your information" for how speech is transcribed. Solia does not store the source audio.
  • Location — with while-in-use permission only: places you save, used to attach places to blocks and estimate commutes; and, when you set up a food plan, your current location, a label for your area, a search radius, and the nearby stores you choose, all stored with that plan to find stores and estimate prices. We never collect location in the background.
  • Social and communications — follows, profile header, posts, stories and highlights, likes, comments, views, saves and shares, direct, group and business messages, reactions, read receipts, typing indicators, memberships, shared photos and videos, music you add to posts, avatars, and backgrounds. Social, messaging, group, and business features.
  • Help and moderation — bug reports and suggestions (including dictated notes and the screenshots or recordings you attach) and the content and account reports you file. Support, safety, and abuse review.
  • Purchases — your membership plan (Standard or Pro, monthly or annual), when it started, renews or ends, upgrades, scheduled changes and cancellations, the amounts charged, your usage credit purchases, balance and expiry dates, and the references Stripe returns to us for each payment (such as customer and payment IDs and payment status). Used to provide your membership and credits, apply usage limits, keep accounting and tax records, and prevent fraud. Your card and billing details are entered on Stripe's checkout; we never receive or store your full card number.

Information about other people. Some features let you enter information about others, such as household members in a food plan or your children's ages during onboarding. Only enter it if you are allowed to share it with us, and no more than the feature needs. We use it only to provide that feature to you.

Before you create an account. You can start onboarding before you sign up. Those answers, including any profile photo, are kept on your device; the only thing sent to us before sign-up is a check that your chosen username is available. When you sign up, the answers move into your account and are removed from the device. If you are already signed in, onboarding answers are saved to your account as you go.

Information created as you use Solia

  • Reports, scores and AI outputs — coaching reports, current-status summaries, LifeScores, ranks, match results, and generated plans, workouts and estimates.
  • Device and security — a random device ID kept in your device's secure storage (used to recognize a new device, which is verified with an emailed code, again every 30 days), a random notification install ID, push token, platform, timezone, app version, last-active time, IP address, and authentication and action events. Used for sessions, notifications, rate limits, and fraud and abuse prevention.
  • AI usage records — for each AI request: the feature, model, token counts, and cost, never the text. We add these up for each section (Pluto, Fitness, Nutrition, Food plans, Coaching reports) to apply your plan's daily, weekly and monthly usage limits and to charge usage credits. Also used for billing and abuse prevention.
  • Device and identity checks — when a new account is set up, Apple's App Attest confirms the request comes from a genuine copy of the app, and Apple's DeviceCheck keeps a small counter for the device so each device can set up a limited number of accounts (currently three in any 12 months). We also keep keyed one-way fingerprints (hashes) of your email address and Apple or Google account identifier, which cannot be read back as the original values. They are used only for two onboarding limits and the Solia Promise: the same sign-in cannot set up Solia again within 24 hours, the onboarding Pluto allowance is given only once per person, so we record against the fingerprint how much of it has been used, and the Solia Promise refund (Terms of Service, section 14) is given only once per person, so we record against the fingerprint whether it was given.

We do not collect your contacts, advertising identifiers, browsing history, health-platform data (such as Apple Health), or analytics or crash telemetry. We do not buy data from brokers or track you across other apps or websites. If any of this changes, we will update this policy and the app store declarations first.

How AI features use your information

Solia sends information to AI providers only to produce what the feature delivers to you. Each feature sends the following:

  • Pluto (voice and text): what you said or typed, your conversation, and the parts of your account needed to act on it — your schedule, Weekly Structure, templates, to-dos and tasks, and, when relevant, your goals, lifestyle and family commitments, sleep, fitness and nutrition settings, targets, recent actual schedule (including energy levels), and saved coaching reports. Speech is transcribed by Apple or Google speech recognition on your device, or by OpenAI on our servers when that is unavailable.
  • Onboarding report: your intake answers, used to write your first report, Weekly Structure, and targets.
  • Coaching reports: generated automatically on a schedule for members. They use your profile details (age, sex, height, weight, constraints, dietary restrictions, lifestyle; not your name), goals, planned and actual schedule (without saved places), check-ins (mood, energy, soreness, pain), workouts, meals and nutrients, sleep, to-dos, food-plan meals, and recent history. Each report's quote is found by a web search the AI runs, and the AI is instructed not to put personal information in that search.
  • Generated workouts and exercise targets: your age, sex, height, weight, constraints and injuries, experience, focus, equipment, and up to 120 days of workout history.
  • Food plans: your profile details (not your name, username, or bio), fitness settings, recent weigh-ins, nutrition targets, your schedule for the planning period (including saved places), logged meals, recent plans, everything you entered to set up the plan, and candidate recipes. Grocery prices are researched by a web search that receives your currency, shopping-area name, store names and addresses, and the shopping list (ingredients and amounts), but not your name or exact location.
  • Meal photos: the photo, your description, candidate foods (which can include your custom foods), and a pseudonymous identifier for abuse prevention.
  • Barcodes and custom foods: the product's label information, or the food name, servings and values you entered. An estimate made for a packaged product contains no personal information and is added to Solia's shared food catalog, so other users who scan the same barcode see it.

Providers. OpenAI is the main AI provider, including for transcription and web search. Anthropic answers Pluto's requests and is the backup provider for the other features when OpenAI reports an outage; it can run web searches in that role. Solia does not opt API data into model training. Providers may keep requests for a limited period under their API terms, for example for abuse and safety monitoring.

Automated decisions. AI produces plans, targets, scores, and match results, and some of them change your account automatically (see the Terms of Service, section 6). None of them has a legal or similarly significant effect on you. You can edit what they set, and you can ask us at privacy@getsolia.com to have a person review an outcome.

Who receives your information

We use the following service providers ("processors") only to run the features listed:

  • Supabase hosts authentication, databases, file storage, and server functions in the United States.
  • OpenAI and Anthropic process AI requests as described above.
  • Apple provides Sign in with Apple, App Attest and DeviceCheck, on-device speech recognition, and push delivery on iOS. Apple Maps draws the maps you see and receives your place searches, the coordinates used for commute estimates, and food-plan store searches (your typed area or your coordinates). When you search for music to add to a post, your search terms go from your device to Apple's iTunes Search service, and music previews play from Apple's servers.
  • Google provides Google Sign-In and, on Android, speech recognition and push delivery. Google Workspace (Gmail) sends our emails, such as verification codes and account notices.
  • Expo routes push notifications. A notification can contain a schedule block title or another user's username, but not message content.
  • Stripe processes membership and usage credit payments on our website. It receives what you enter at checkout (your card and billing details, such as name, email address and billing country or postal code), the plan or credit pack you buy and its price, and a reference to your Solia account, and it collects information about the device and browser used at checkout, including through cookies, to prevent fraud. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy and the payment-card security standard (PCI DSS); we receive only the payment references and status described under "Purchases".
  • Open Food Facts receives scanned barcodes and product names when we look up packaged foods.
  • Wikimedia serves some recipe images directly to your device, so it receives your IP address and basic device information, as any website would.

When you tap a directions link or a source link, the website or map app that opens handles your request under its own policy. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the safety, rights, or property of users or the public, or as part of an incorporation, merger, or sale, with notice to you. We do not sell or rent personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or show ads.

Visibility

  • Accounts are public unless you make them private in Settings → Privacy. Anyone on Solia can see a public account's profile, posts, and stories, including in the shared feed, and can follow it without approval. A private account's posts and stories are shown only to approved followers. Other users can always see your profile header.
  • Current-status summary: an AI-written summary of your recent progress and goals. It appears on your social profile (to everyone who can view it) and on your Ranked profile, which anyone signed in to Solia can open. It is on by default; turn it off in Settings → Privacy → Current status.
  • Stories leave the feed after 24 hours unless you add them to a highlight; posts and highlights stay until you delete them. People who can see a post or story can save it, download it to their device, or share it outside Solia, and you can see who viewed your stories.
  • Direct messages are visible to their two participants. Group and business content is visible to the relevant members. A disappearing message can be saved by the person who receives it.
  • The Ranked ladder and Ranked profiles, which anyone signed in can view, show your username, avatar, rank, tier, scores, and match results, not the underlying details of your day. Your saved scores can be used as a benchmark opponent for other players.
  • Push notifications can appear on your lock screen.

Retention and deletion

  • Active account: data is kept while needed for the account, history, shared features, security, and the purposes above.
  • Account deletion: the in-app Delete account flow (Settings → Account Management) removes the authentication record and account-owned profile, schedule, to-dos and tasks, fitness, nutrition, food plans and private recipes, social, scores, coaching reports, membership and usage credit, and storage data. Deletion ends any membership and its renewals, and unused credits are lost (see the Terms of Service). You can also contact privacy@getsolia.com; we may require identity verification.
  • One-to-one messages: deleting either participant's account deletes the entire private one-to-one thread and pair background for both participants, including messages the other participant sent in that thread.
  • Shared groups and businesses: a group or business with remaining members survives. Ownership transfers to a remaining member; the departing user's membership and account-linked content are removed, and exact account identifiers embedded in surviving records are cleared or scrubbed. A group or business with no remaining member may be deleted.
  • Other-user and safety records: another user's match-history row may remain without a live link to the deleted profile. A moderation report filed by another user may remain for safety review; the deleted account ID is removed and replaced with a random deletion-specific correlation key.
  • Delayed cleanup and revocation: deleted direct or group-message media, pair backgrounds, and group avatars or backgrounds can leave a service-only cleanup item containing the storage path and retry metadata. Cleanup is delayed at least 24 hours and runs only after Solia's current reference checks find no live product reference. Apple accounts can leave a service-only revocation item containing the former account ID, Apple refresh token, and retry metadata until Apple confirms revocation. These restricted work items are retained until successfully processed and are not available to app users.
  • Voice transcripts and Pluto conversation: the text of your voice commands and Pluto's replies is stored with your schedule and Weekly Structure while your account is active. Clear chat in the app removes the conversation, and account deletion removes it with the rest of your data. Solia never stores the audio. A per-request usage record (model, token counts, cost) is kept without the text for usage limits, credits, billing, and abuse prevention.
  • Payment records: Stripe keeps its records of your payments under its own terms and the law. Payment records that tax and accounting law requires us to keep, such as receipts and invoices, are kept for the period that law sets (in Canada, generally six years), even after you delete your account, and are used for nothing else.
  • Kept after deletion: the keyed fingerprints described under "Device and identity checks", with the time of the last onboarding report, how much of the onboarding Pluto allowance was used and whether the Solia Promise refund (Terms of Service, section 14) was given, are kept after you delete your account, so that deleting and re-creating an account cannot be used to get around those onboarding limits or to claim the Solia Promise twice. They are used for nothing else and are kept for as long as Solia has those limits. Apple keeps your device's DeviceCheck counter; we cannot erase it, and it holds no personal information. Shared catalog estimates for packaged foods and commute-time estimates contain no personal information and are not deleted.
  • AI providers: requests already sent to an AI provider are kept by that provider only for the limited period its API terms allow.
  • Backups: deleted data may remain in access-restricted backups for up to about 30 days before those backups expire.

Security and local storage

Data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS. Database and storage access use row-level security and explicit private, shared, or public scopes; operational deletion and revocation queues are service-only. Native apps store session material as encrypted data whose key is kept in the platform's secure storage. The web app stores session material in ordinary browser storage, so users should sign out on shared browsers. No system is perfectly secure; we will provide breach notices when required by law.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on contract to provide the requested service, including your membership, usage credits and their payments; legal obligation to keep tax and accounting records; your consent for health-related information, information about other people you choose to enter, and optional microphone, camera and photo, location, and notification features; and legitimate interests for security, fraud and abuse prevention, usage limits, support, and service reliability. You can withdraw consent by removing the information, turning off the permission in your device settings, or stopping use of the feature. Scores and coaching do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

We operate from Canada. Our processors may store or process data in the United States and other locations identified in their terms. Where required, transfers rely on applicable contractual or legal transfer mechanisms.

Your choices and rights

  • Make your account private, turn off your current-status summary, and manage notifications in Settings.
  • See your plan, usage and credits, and cancel your membership's renewal, in Settings → Membership.
  • Edit or delete your schedule, to-dos, logs, food plans, and Nutrition settings at any time, and clear your Pluto conversation.
  • Turn off microphone, camera, photo, location, or notification access in your device settings.
  • Delete your account in the app, or ask us to.

Depending on location, you may also have rights to access, receive a portable copy, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a regulator. The app has no data export yet, so email privacy@getsolia.com for a copy of your data. We respond within the period required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against users for exercising privacy rights.

Permissions

Microphone, speech recognition, camera, photo library (to choose and to save photos), while-in-use location, notification, and Live Activity permissions are optional. Denying a permission disables only the feature that needs it; food plans need location to find nearby stores.

Changes

We identify every update by version and date and publish it at getsolia.com/terms before it takes effect. When this policy changes, the app shows you the new version and asks you to agree before you continue.

Health & Fitness Disclaimer

Version 1.0 · Updated October 21, 2026

Draft for test-cohort review. Part of the Terms of Service.

Solia provides fitness, nutrition, food-plan, sleep, and body-weight features, including AI-generated coaching, workouts, food plans, targets, and estimates. Please read this before using them. You accept it with the Terms of Service when you agree in the app.

Not medical advice. Solia is not a medical device, and nothing in the app — including coaching reports, generated workouts and routines, exercise targets, food plans, recipes, calorie and macro targets, sleep guidance, scores, or Pluto's replies — is medical, nutritional, dietetic, or psychological advice. Content is AI-generated and may be wrong.

Talk to a professional first. Consult a physician or qualified health professional before starting or changing an exercise or nutrition program, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have (or suspect) any medical condition or injury, take medication, or have been advised to restrict activity or your diet.

Generated workouts and targets. Generated workouts, suggested targets, and progressive-overload suggestions are automated estimates based on what you have logged. They do not know your full medical history, and the app does not ask about every injury or condition. Choose exercises and loads you can perform safely, warm up, use appropriate equipment and supervision, and never attempt a load you cannot handle. Combat and contact training carries a higher risk of injury; train with qualified supervision and protective equipment.

Listen to your body. Stop immediately and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, or other concerning symptoms during activity.

Food plans, recipes, and allergies. Food plans and recipes are generated from what you enter and may not match it. AI can miss or misidentify allergens and can suggest a recipe that conflicts with a restriction you entered. Check every recipe, ingredient, and product label yourself, and never rely on Solia to keep you, or anyone you cook for, away from a food they must not eat. Follow safe food handling, storage, and cooking temperatures. A plan for other members of your household is an estimate from the calorie needs you entered, not a plan made for their health.

Estimates are estimates. Calorie, macro, and nutrient figures (including from meal photos, barcodes, and recipes), grocery prices, body-weight trends, and fitness scores are approximate or simplified models. Do not rely on them for medical decisions.

Not for disordered eating or medical management. Solia is not designed to treat, diagnose, or manage any condition, including diabetes, heart conditions, or eating disorders. If tracking food or weight negatively affects your relationship with eating, please stop using those features and seek professional support (in Canada: NEDIC — nedic.ca, 1-866-633-4220).

Emergencies. Solia is not monitored. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, contact local emergency services (911 in Canada/US) immediately. In Canada, you can call or text 9-8-8 for suicide crisis support.

By using the fitness, nutrition, and food-plan features you confirm you have read and understood this disclaimer and use these features at your own risk, to the extent the law allows.

Regional and traditional foods

Solia adds 523 foods that the USDA and Health Canada tables do not carry, mostly for its meal recipes. Their values come from other national food composition tables, published research and manufacturers' nutrition labels, and each value is cited in the food's record.

Where no measurement exists, Solia estimates values from closely related foods and labels them as estimates (101 foods). Estimates are approximations. Source organisations and authors do not endorse Solia or its estimates, and Solia adapts names, servings and units for the app.

Packaged food data

Contains information from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. Individual database contents are available under the Database Contents License.

Solia normalizes imported records and serving information and may apply reviewed corrections. Packaged-food values can differ from the package you have; check its label where needed. The meal-photo feature does not use Open Food Facts product images.

Photo estimates and your entries

Recognized foods and portions can be incorrect. Database credits identify the source of nutrition data, not verification of what is in your photo. An item explicitly accepted as an AI estimate is labelled separately and is not represented as a verified database entry. Your private photos, meal history and custom entries are not a public catalog download.

Recipes and dish images

Solia's recipe library contains recipes written for Solia. Some recipes and dish photos are adapted from or supplied by openly licensed sources such as Wikibooks and Wikimedia Commons, under licences including CC BY-SA, CC BY and CC0; each one shows its author, licence and source link where it appears, and adapted material stays under its original licence. AI-generated dish illustrations are labelled as such.

Maps and music

Maps, place and store search, and commute estimates are provided by Apple Maps. Music previews you add to posts are supplied by Apple through its iTunes catalogue. Both are provided under Apple’s terms.
